Day 8 & Day 9: Adelaide to Mildura then Mildura to Narrandera

As our accommodation was so close to the city we spent the first half of the day looking around Adelaide City.  We walked through the Botanic Gardens, passed the Adelaide University and the spent some time in Rundle Mall.  We then picked up the car and headed out to Glenelg for lunch.  It was cold and windy in Glenelg so didn't spend any time on the beach, rather had a look around, had lunch then headed off on our drive to Mildura.  We drove through the Barossa Valley stopping in Renmark for tea and toilet before heading on to Mildura arriving at around 6:30pm.  Very nice drive with plenty of vineyards along the way.

After spending some time looking around Mildura where we found some very nice parks along the Murray we then headed for Narrandera.  We stopped off in Balranald for morning tea with country music playing in the street.  We found ourselves in Hay for lunch - found a small spot beside the Murrumbidgee - unfortunately again very windy and cold.  So after a quick lunch we made our way to Narrandera.  Having great expectation for wildlife across the Nullabor and not seeing much due to all the rain we were pleased to see emus and roos along the Hay Plains.

Narrandera is the last stop on our journey before arriving in Nowra tomorrow for the girls to then go to Conjola with their grandparents.
