After breakfast in the 5 star hotel restaurant where Adam and Brooke indulged we headed off to Adelaide. First stop Cowell a small rural, seaside town with a population of 880. For a small town it had better facilities then many of the others that we have travelled through so far. Jade and Brooke released some energy in the local park while Adam & I walked the main street (quick walk). It was decided that to break up the driving we would put the car on a ferry from Lucky Bay to Wallaroo (2 hours on the boat, 3 hour drive). Lucky Bay Ferry Terminal was 15km out of Cowell. This seemed like a great idea - given I suggested it - the down side - it was quite rough and I spent most of the time on the outside deck, freezing - as that was the only place that I felt well enough to be:( You can imagine that the rest of the family thought this quite amusing.

We then drove into the city to hit Adelaide CBD by peak hour only to find when we arrived at our lovely accommodation at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, that the car was not going to fit in any car park in the city - we would therefore have to cancel accommodation and find somewhere else to stay. Thankfully, lastminute.com were kind enough to give us a full refund and we went in search of new lodgings for the evening. Landed at the Adelaide Caravan Park which I can highly recommend, we have a very nice cabin (one that Jade & Brooke approve of:) ) and we are right on the edge of the CBD opposite Botanic Gardens. 20 min walk to CBD, 5 min drive.
I didn't like Adelaide very much.
